The Mining company, a subsidiary of GoldFields Limited has been in talks with the Ghana Premier League giants for quite some time now.

Following successful negotiations, Medeama SC and GoldFields Tarkwa Damang have reached an agreement that makes the mining giants the official headline sponsor for the club.

All the necessary paperwork has been signed earlier this morning at a short ceremony held at the Corporate Affairs office of GoldFields at Airport Residential.

Modernghana Sports can confirm that the deal is for a period of 3-years and it will see the company investing $300,000 in Medeama SC.

Already, GoldFields Tarkwa Damang is constructing a 10,000 capacity roofed stadium for Medeama SC which is said to be costing $13 million.

The company and the club have built a very good relationship and are understood to be undertaking several other projects together in the spirit of their partnership.
